Morning sees us heading through the middle of the Island -
through the
Fontoukli/Profitis Ilias
region. This
area is stepped in history and Island culture. Scenery is
totally different from the beach resorts - a beautiful mix of
pine trees, natural wild growing herbs, winding mountain roads
and Austrian style Chalets.
From there it's down the Wild Western coastline to the
Embona
area - famous for its wine making. Our stop is a
tiny
family owned winery
for complimentary
wine tasting and discounted wines.

Then it's on to our hidden secret and one of the
real
reasons to go Safari Style
- we take you to a place
you cannot get by car - higher and higher up to a view point
on the island that is sent from the Ancient Gods themselves -
the photographs from this area are simply stunning -
a panoramic view of all the tiny islands dotted out to sea.
Winding down the coast - we go through
Traditional Greek
Villages
- to watch the Greek Men at work!!!... Then
it's
hold onto your seat time
as we go into four
wheel drive action - imagine army tank tracks, dust flying and
laughter - total fun and exhilaration -
Safari Style!
Around lunchtime - we take an hour's break at fantastic
Prasonissi.
It's free time to walk between the two seas
(Aegean and Med). Relive the film "Point break" by watching the
windsurfers in action - or simply chill out at a beachside Taverna.
Heading back up the Eastern coast - we stop in the
Haraki
area
- our destination the
beautiful Agathi Bay
- Time to put on the swim suits to
enjoy a late afternoon
snorkel
in the clear, crystal waters of the Med. Chill
out on the beach - Greek Style - and enjoy our Olive Pickers
Picnic - fresh bread, feta cheese, tomatoes, olives and of
course Ouzo.
